John Elliott Adds Double Tongues And More To The Nike Air Force 1 Low

John Elliott Adds Double Tongues And More To The Nike Air Force 1 Low

John Elliott, with his passion for design and an uncompromising eye for detail, has spent the better part of the last 5 years crafting high-quality garments with unique fabrication and a highly functional fit. Back when he was an 8-year-old, Elliott touchingly sent some of his first designs to Nike: a choice that ignited his passion as a designer and has brought us many an interesting collaboration.

Coming full circle, the Beaverton brand has teamed up yet again with the influential creative to present a total reimagining of the iconic Air Force 1. Debuting first at Hypefest as a centerpiece for its many onlookers to gaze at in awe, the AF1 exuded intricacy with Elliott’s mindful grasp of layering and dimension creating an “illusion of color.” The collaborative release — despite its all white appearance — becomes an entirely different experience on closer inspection. Elliott runs full force with the layered motif, doubling both the tongue and lace keepers as well as finishing the lace tips with a cascading touch. Its unmistakable swoosh is die-cut to reveal a textural pebbled leather while the entire overlay is raised to great effect, culminating into what will surely be a welcome addition to this breathtaking partnership.
