Teased slowly throughout the past month, here’s a first look at NASA Vans footwear capsule with an inspiration taken from the space explorers of the organization. Using the Old Skool and Sk8-Hi 46 MTE DX as their canvas, the full capsule will usher in a series of palettes that borrow inspiration from astronaut suits while using patched insignias to further establish the overall concept. Both the white and orange pair of the Old Skools exhibit printed typography along the lateral side while a removable velcro patch of the American flag stands boldly along the heel. The Sk8-Hi — though more minimal than its low-top counterpart — arrives in both black and white with the NASA logo embroidered on the profile. Alongside the series of footwear, expect to find an accompanying selection of accessories and apparel.
