Jordan Brand Designers Gifted An Exclusive Air Jordan 1

Behind the design of each and every one of your favorite sneakers, their is a group of hard working, loyal, and oft-overlooked people grinding to make the perfect pair of shoes. While you may know some names the likes of Tinker Hatfield, Jason Petrie, and Eric Avar, there are dozens, if not hundreds more who work below the surface and fail to get the credit they deserve. In order to give back to these creators that are so crucial to Nike and the Jordan Brand’s successes, the latter is set to pay it forward by way of an exclusive Air Jordan 1 to be gifted only to the team’s designers. Calling upon the color blocking of the famed Air Jordan 1 “Black Toe” its toe and midfoot overlays don a crisp black hue while its heel opts for a gradient pattern starting with red at its base and climbing up its sidewall to a crisp purple-like hue to match its bold outsole. Furthering this nod to the Jumpman’s “glue guys” is a special set of insoles that include each and every member of the design team’s name listed in small text. Enjoy a first look at these special edition Jordan 1s below, as it is the closest you will ever come to getting your hands on a pair.
