Nike Is Bringing Back The Air Max Plus “Hyper Blue” And Other Originals

It’s been 20 long years since the Air Max Plus first hit shelves in 1998. A cult favorite the world over, the Plus — sometimes referred to as the TN due to the badge on its heel — the shoe is instantly recognizable due to its striking colorways and accents, split Air Max cushioning system, and unique shape. Its third decade of existence has started with a bang as it’s released in plenty of new color combos and been used as inspiration for the all-new Vapormax Plus, but any OG AM Plus fan would tell you that nothing beats a classic. Thankfully the Plus is slated to return in the three colorways that made it so iconic: “Hyper Blue,” “Sunset,” and “Purple.”

Each pair from the legendary trifecta features a retro gradient effect on the upper, starting light at the top before darkening towards the midfoot. Contrasting Air Max units match each shoe’s midfoot swoosh, aggressively styled black plastic overlays/a black suede mudguard provide contrast, and — of course — the classic yellow TN badge adorns the heel. All three pairs are set to roll out to Nike SNKRS, Foot Locker, and select Swoosh Brand stockists this fall/winter, with the “Hyper Blue” arriving November 8th in Europe/December 22nd in the US, the “Sunset” releasing November 24th, and the “Purple” hitting shelves December 15th. Check out all three classics below while you wait, and be sure to let us know which pair is your favorite.
