Nike Adds Metallic Gold And Silver To The Air Max 95

Nike Adds Metallic Gold And Silver To The Air Max 95

It’s the season of precious metal makeovers for classic Air Max silhouettes, and the Air Max 95 is getting in on the fun started by the three-pack of Air Max 97s that surfaced earlier in November. The 95’s human anatomy-inspired side panels have always served as a perfect base for material and color experimentation, and here the middle two receive metallic detailing via shimmering silver and gold patent leather, while the reflective top panel and plain bottom panel opt for a more simple black. Black mesh and leather make up the rest of the upper with further colored detailing arriving on the tongue and heel, and a white midsole provides a stark contrast with the upper’s mainly metallic accents. A black Air Max cushioning unit/outsole complete the luxurious look, which in an interesting twist bears some similarities to the classic “Copper” Air Max 95s from 2004. Check out a full set of images below, and look for these new 95s to drop on Nike.com later this month as well.
