A Mowabb-Style Colorway Comes To The Air Max 270 Bowfin

The Nike Air Max 270 Bowfin is an interesting combination of two vastly different chapters in Nike’s history. The tooling and large heel Air Max unit — borrowed from the Air Max 270 — are extremely modern, but the shape and styling generally leans more towards a classic Nike ACG vibe. The Bowfin has released in a handful of bold colorways since first being revealed at the tail end of this summer, but now it’s surfaced in a scheme any OG ACG fan is sure to know and love: the legendary combo of tan, orange and purple typically associated with the Mowabb. A light tan is utilized for the base color, while the upper’s wild material medley of ripstop, mesh, and nylon boasts a combination of orange, black, and grey tones. Striking purple accents on the midfoot and toggle lacing system add further to the old-school contrast, and the look is then completed by a tan midsole, large orange heel Air Max unit, and black outsole with a rugged traction pattern. If you’re an ACG advocate, a true-blue Mowabb lover, or you just appreciate a well-done retro colorway, these new Bowfins will drop later this year on Nike.com for $160 USD.
