Nike Unveils The Doernbecher Freestyle 2018 Collection

For fifteen years, Nike, Inc. and the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has been lending hope to its patients through a creative sneaker/apparel design experience called the Doernbecher Freestyle. Beyond its role as being a fun and interactive challenge to the youth, it has also been part of a healing process through the mass support its received. Over $20 million has been raised through the sale of the Doernbecher Freestyle collection, and for 2018, these six new silhouettes are ready to add to that outstanding amount.

Chloe Swientek, Donovan Dinneen, Aiden Barber, Joey Bates, Kirsten Brown, and Payton Fentress make up the group of resilient individuals that partook in this year’s Freestyle collection, with the Air Jordan 15, SB Dunk Low, Zoom Fly SP, Air Force 1, Air Max 270, and Air Max 97 rounding out the product. Each participant worked closely with a Nike designer over the course of several months to finalize unique designs that feature distinct cues and inspirations from their personal lives.

The entire Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 2018 collection will release on December 14th on Nike SNKRS and at select retailers; the matching apparel will drop on the following day.
