The Nike Air Max Plus Arrives In “Blue Void”

The Nike Air Max Plus has enjoyed a bountiful 20th anniversary in 2018. From re-releasing in classic colorways like the “Sunset” and “Hyper Blue” plus being worn in a modified version on-stage by Drake for the duration of his “Scorpion” tour, the classic silhouette has proved that its design ethos stands the test of time. Now it’s surfaced in a new “Blue Void” that features a simple base with colorful accents — as the Plus is wont to do. A regal navy blue mesh provides the base layer for the upper, while accents arrive via interwoven gold mesh detailing and plastic overlays that call upon an ombre-style fade from orange to gold to blue at the bottom. A blue nubuck mudguard and blue plastic toe cap complete the upper, and the midsole features a two-tone design: white towards the front and navy blue towards the heel. The look is then completed by orange Air Max cushioning units and a two-tone plastic midfoot shank, plus the timeless TN badge on the heel. As is proper for a true roadman’s shoe, this new TN is available on Nike UK now, and will likely hit stateside retailers in the coming weeks.
