Mastermind Japan And Vans To Release A Sk8-Hi With Skull And Crossbones Logos

Mastermind Japan And Vans To Release A Sk8-Hi With Skull And Crossbones Logos

Legendary Japanese brand Mastermind and Vans have enjoyed a fruitful long-term partnership. Known for their black-and-white colorblocking/signature skull-and-crossbones motif, Mastermind has lent their instantly recognizable touch to seemingly every silhouette in the extensive tome of Vans classics. Now, the two are joining forces again for a new take on the beloved Vans Sk8-Hi. The shoe’s standard upper color scheme remains intact, but Mastermind’s added a plentiful helping of alternate details — as both the lateral and medial sides are swathed in an all-over skull print, and the heel features a zipper for easy on/easy off. The lower half adds further to the two-tone contrast, with a stark white toe cap arriving in front of a black midsole that boasts embossed Mastermind text detailing. A white outsole then arrives to complete the look. The shoes will be accompanied by a co-branded long sleeve t-shirt, and release through Vans Japan stockists Friday, December 14th.
