Kyrie Irving Debuts Nike Kyrie 5 “Hot Lava” PE Inspired By The Vapor X

Just yesterday, we brought you word that Kyrie Irving would be teaming up with his Australian Tennis counterpart Nike Kyrgios to release a Nike Zoom Vapor X tennis sneaker that draws heavily from Irving’s Kyrie 5 basketball model. Boasting the upper of Kyrie’s hoops-focused model and the sole unit of the tennis-court ready Vapor X, the new fusion creation’s introductory color scheme borrowed a “Hot Lava” aesthetic that has been feature throughout Nike’s expansive archives for years. In order to further promote this new hybrid design, the flat earth truther laces up a lava-ridden version of the Kyrie 5 in last night’s 116-95 win against the Brooklyn Nets in which the C’s guard returned to action after missing two games due to an eye injury. Like the Zoom Vapor X, this iteration equips a primarily white color scheme with hits of black added to its tongue and Swoosh, but that eye-catching Hot Lava hue takes shape on its all-seeing eye heel piece and sole unit. At the moment, there are no plans for Beaverton to release these special Kyrie 5s, so grab a detailed look here and stay tuned for updates regarding more colors of the Nike Zoom Vapor X “Kyrie 5”.
