Jordan Unveils The 2019 Black History Month Collection

For February, the Jordan Brand will be joining both of its sister companies in Nike and Converse to release full-scale Black History Month collections that span a number of its top silhouettes. For this year’s commemoration, the Jumpman is set to unload a Jordan Why Not Zer0.2, an Air Jordan 1 “Equality” ripe with Melo branding – much like last year’s BHM AJ1 – and an Air Jordan 2. While 2018’s BHM series was centered around the tri-colored banner of Pan-Africa, this year’s set hinges on an array of traditional African patterns that help infuse a sense of equality into potential consumers. While most of the models involved in this capsule are indeed engineered for hoops, Nike’s goal is to spread the message of inclusion both on and off the court. With the new Why Not Zer0.2 leading the way, check out the three Jumpman-braded offerings below and look forward to their arrival at retailers on February 2nd.
