The Nike Shox R4 Arrives In Triple Black

When it first released around the turn of the century, Nike Shox tech was nothing short of a revelation. Featuring four dense and durable foam columns sandwiched in between two firm midsole plates for cushioning and support, it put a spring in the wearer’s step — both literally and figuratively. The first Shox silhouette to arrive to market was the Shox R4, a shoe that since then has become somewhat of a cult classic. It saw a relaunch in the fall of 2018, and now it’s back in a color that any Shox loyalist is sure to be familiar with: triple black. Loved by referees, service industry workers, and casual wearers alike for its uniform requirement-fulfilling blend of style and comfort, the shoe’s entire upper is dressed in a stark-yet-sporty black, allowing the layered accents to do much of the talking. The Shox cushioning unit also features an all-black construction, and the tiniest pop of color is provided by a miniscule dark navy hit on the heel. Peep a full gallery of official images below, and look for these monochromatic Nike shoes to release soon on Nike.com and at select Swoosh Shox stockists for $140 USD. If you’re looking for an OG colorway, the black/silver Shox R4 is dropping on 2/1.
