First Look At The Jordan Proto React In White/Black

The future of Jordan Brand is a bright one, filled with new materials, technological advancements, and new silhouettes like the Jordan Proto React. What sets the Proto React apart from prior Jordan Brand releases — besides, of course, its extremely unusual look — is that it’s entirely a lifestyle silhouette, in the same vein as the Jordan Apex Utility, another brand-new lifestyle design. As Jordan is a brand that’s always focused first and foremost on performance, this is a bold new step — one that’s certainly yielded some interesting silhouettes.

Although we’ve already see it in a timeless black/white, the Proto React has now surfaced in an inverse white/black colorway that calls attention to its space-inspired stylings. The white nylon upper with its straps, visible stitching, and branded embellishments gives off a look that’s not too dissimilar to an astronaut’s suit, while a black React midsole provides both a stark contrast with the white upper and standout comfort. It gets in on the space-inspired stylings too, with a squiggly traction pattern that wouldn’t look out-of-place in a sci-fi film. For a finishing touch, coordinates that correlate with the location of the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton appear on the medial quarter, and a soft grey “Jumpman” text hit is woven into the heel strap. Grab a detailed look at these striking new Jordan shoes below, and expect a release on Nike.com on March 1st for $150 USD.
