The Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal” Returns With Reflective Uppers

The Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal” Returns With Reflective Uppers

As it’s one of first three signature silhouettes that MJ captured an NBA Championship in, the classic Air Jordan 7 “Cardinal” has received a shimmering high-vis makeover as part of Jordan Brand’s upcoming bold trifecta of championship-inspired sneakers. First released in 1992 before returning in 2006 and 2011, this new-jack colorway keeps the signature red and bronze accents that the “Cardinal” has become beloved for over the past 20-plus intact, but swaps out the standard white leather upper for one that’s constructed entirely of reflective material, ensuring that the wearer will stand out no matter the conditions. Although the silver stylings may slightly alarm some long-term fans of the silhouette, it’s hard to deny that the aforementioned accents pop excellently off the re-worked base, creating a look that’s truly trophy-worthy. Get a detailed look directly below, and expect these new AJ7s to release on June 8th for $225 USD, accompanied by similarly styled takes on the Air Jordan 6 and the Air Jordan 8.
