The adidas ZX 500 RM Returns With Yellow Nylon And Suede Uppers

The adidas ZX 500 RM usually seems to feature neutral-toned bases with bright accents, but it’s taking on a surprisingly colorful look this spring, thanks to a new bright yellow makeup. The shoe’s classic upper features a compelling mixture of nylon and suede — the former serving as the base, the latter making up the mudguard — while soft sandy suede appears on both the heel and the eyestay. For an interesting touch of sporty detailing, the tongue patch boasts a race bib-inspired graphic that states “1014” in bold black letters, paying tribute to Frank Shorter, a runner who took gold in the marathon at the 1972 Olympic Games. Although the upper is all classic, the bottom half is all modern-day, thanks to a thick white Boost midsole that’s encased by light tan/white support plates and a tan outsole. Get a good look at these compelling new kicks from adidas Originals below, and expect a release in the coming spring weeks for $140 USD.
