Snakeskin uppers, through pop culture and slight parental influence, have been engrained in all of us as high-end luxury, striking a cord with many as it sees its way back onto the Jordan 11 Low and now the Air Force 1. Dubbed venomously as the “Python Snake,” this 1996 entry is finally seeing 2019 release calendars once again, tapping old fashion aesthetics in a way that is undoubtedly fresh next a slew of deconstructed icons and frankenstein creations. Celebrating the roots of Nike Sportswear — which roughly coincided with the advent of this colorway — the pair features the heavily textural fabrication from the profile swoosh over to the heel counter, which sports subtle blacked-out branding embroidery. White leather comprises the rest of the construction, allowing its motif to shine uninhibited, with a black tongue tab furthering the connection to the more than two decade old original. Additionally, the shoes are set to arrive with a matching pair of socks featuring the lux material that the upper neck of the tube.
