The uber-clean and understated classic known as the Rivalry made its long-awaited return to store shelves, bringing the rather rare and sorely-needed high-top look to the Tre-foil brand. Dropping in the original Knicks theme, a fan favorite of New Yorkers, as well as the black/white iteration, the adidas Rivalry Hi reminded the world that it too was a purveyor of some of the most coveted leather basketball shoes in the 1980s. It’s back again once more in a French tricolore theme, seen in the red and blue treatment on the stripes, while a pleasing contrast can be seen in the creamy off-white around the shoe.
