Michael Le Fresh into 2019, Nike is still continuing their trend of deconstructing some of their favorite silhouettes, with official images revealing the best look yet at their most recent inside out motif set atop the iconic uppers of the Air Max 1. Dubbed “Phantom,” as appropriately noted by its neutral yet ethereal color palette, the pair captures through its various modifications with muted grey mudguards and toe boxes alongside light blue profile hits arriving contrasted by the overt stitching and inverted constructions. Overlays are now unders and vice versa, providing a look that cascades inward in layer from top to bottom with black thread poking through where a seam once was. Iconography follows suit, sticking close to the overall theme, as swooshes are mere geometric shadows of their usual selves and size tags take the place of the typical tongue patch.
