The Nike Air Max 97 Arrives In A Stealthy Black And Anthracite

As one of the most popular Air Max silhouettes ever, you can count on Nike’s Air Max 97 to appear in new colorways each and every month, and the newest makeup for the bullet-train inspired runner to surface is a stealthy mix of black and anthracite. Using a tumbled leather mudguard and high-vis reflective piping above a mesh base, these Nike shoes present a tonal look with their upper, and then accent it with a trio of small white embroidered Swooshes. When you flip this 97 around to look at the medial side, you’ll notice a unique detail as well: a touch of textured terry cloth appears on the midfoot for a little dash of luxury flair. A black midsole, black Air Max cushioning unit, and black/anthracite outsole then finalize the look. Equally as appropriate for summer street style as they are for referees, these speedy-yet-subtle Maxes will release on Nike.com in the coming weeks for $160 USD.
