Derek Fisher’s Nike Air Max Uptempo “Lakers” Is Coming Soon

Known for his penchant to hit huge shots in the postseason as well as his cool, calm, and collected leadership — a perfect yin to Kobe Bryant‘s ultra-intense yang — Derek Fisher is a true Laker legend, and now Lake Show fans will be able to take a welcome trip down memory lane thanks to this Lakers-themed take on Nike’s revived Air Max Uptempo. A replication of a PE that Fisher wore in 2002, these Nike shoes feature a crisp white leather upper that’s accented by a large yellow overlay. The slanted midfoot Swoosh boasts regal purple trim, and further purple detailing arrives on the heel/debossed midfoot Swoosh. As is customary for the Max Uptempo, an embroidered “Air” hit appears on the eyestays, and the look is completed by yellow Air Max cushioning units.
