The Jordan Mars 270 Arrives In Crimson Tint Accents

Mars Blackmon and Michael Jordan have a long-standing collaborative history that runs back to a classic 1988 commercial, and now bombastic movie character/brilliant basketball player have been brought together once again for the Jordan Mars 270, which has surfaced in a new combo of black and “Crimson Tint.” The shoe’s hybrid upper draws from the Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 4, Air Jordan 5, and Air Jordan 6, and is dressed in black with grey accents. A white Swoosh/pink Jumpman logo on the tongue offer branded flair, while a cut-out take on the AJ5’s midfoot provides what’s unquestionably the shoe’s most unique design detail. Although several different silhouettes are fused together to create the upper, the midsole/outsole keeps things simple by comparison, equipping an AJ6 forefoot and Air Max 270 heel unit for a yin and yang of new classic and old favorite. An icy translucent outsole completes the visible part of the look, while hand-scrawled detailing on both the inner tongue and insole present hidden homages. Check out a full set of official images below, and expect a release on Nike.com in the coming weeks.
