Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Fearless” Features UNC And Chicago In Patent Leather

It’s been ten years since Michael Jordan was inducted into the Basketball Hall Of Fame, so Jordan Brand is nodding to their leading man’s crowning achievement with a new Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, dubbed the “Fearless.” Calling upon a premium patent leather construction, these Air Jordan 1s then split their overlay detailing evenly between colors from the two most important stops of MJ’s legendary career. Chicago Bulls-style red graces the front, and UNC Tar Heels-style powder blue/navy blue is splashed across the Swoosh/heel. A jeweled ball-and-wings logo on the collar flaps that keen-eyed observers might recognize from a handful of memorable Air Jordan 1 Mids adds extra classic detail, and the insole features a bold “FEAR” text hit with a slash through it above repeating text print, a nod to Mike’s HOF speech, in which he stated “Limits, like fear, are often just an illusion.” A timeless white midsole and red outsole then complete the look. This homage-filled design is set to release during holiday 2019, and there’s also reportedly an alternate black-based “UNC to Chicago” women’s colorway that’ll arrive early 2020 as well. Keep it locked to our Jordan Release Dates page for further info as it’s available, and enjoy a set of images directly below in the meantime.
