The Nike N.354 Huarache Type Gets A Black Upper

The Nike N.354 Huarache Type Gets A Black Upper

Nike’s N.354 line has altered classic silhouettes like the Air Force 1 and conceptualized new designs like the Drop Type LX, but one of its most interesting feats is unquestionably re-working the classic Huarache into the new Huarache Type, a shoe that recently appeared with a bold black/pink/yellow colorway. From a design standpoint, these new Nike shoes offer an interesting stripped-back look that mixes thin midfoot overlays with a synthetic base and neoprene tongue. The midsole features patterns both ridged and dotted, while extra support is offered by a neon yellow criss-crossing strap that runs from the bottom of the toebox to the heel. Small pops of pink appear on the forefoot, midfoot, and heel, while the insole print nods to the Huarache Type’s main inspiration: a Nike Mowabb prototype from 2001. If you’re looking to add a pair of these ultra-unique kicks to your summertime rotation, you can expect ’em to hit Nike.com right now with a retail price of $120 USD.
