Full Olive Nylon Uppers Appear On The Classic Nike Tailwind

Decades ago, the classic Nike Tailwind was an industry-shifting running shoe but it’s long since changed courses and become a beloved lifestyle favorite, lauded for its sleek look and versatile style. It’s been popping up in a wide swath of heritage-style makeups over the course of 2019, and the latest of those to appear is this interesting new nylon-equipped makeup, dressed in olive. Swapping out its normal mesh base for the smooth synthetic material, this Tailwind presents a still-speedy look, and then overlays its base with rich olive suede. The sail tongue features an exposed mesh construction for further retro flair, while a large white midfoot Swoosh, black heel piece, slim white midsole, and black waffle outsole that would make Bill Bowerman himself proud complete the look. A release date for these interesting Nike shoes has not yet been announced, but you can expect them to arrive on Nike.com in the coming weeks for $90 USD. Check out a full set of official images directly below in the meantime, and when you’re done, take a look at some of UNDERCOVER‘s newest Nike Daybreaks as well.
