Ultra-Luxe Purple Croc Leather Comes To The New Balance 998 “Made In The USA”

Ultra-Luxe Purple Croc Leather Comes To The New Balance 998 “Made In The USA”

The made-in-the-US New Balance 998 has been popping up in some interesting colorways over the course of summer 2019, and the latest pair to appear is a striking new “Purple Croc” makeup. The construction may indeed be American, but the signature materials are decidedly more Italian in nature, as bold croc-print purple leather overlays grace both the toebox and heel. The rest of the shoe, however, is almost entirely classic New Balance. Supple grey suede and sporty grey mesh are mixed together on the remainder of the upper, while hi-vis reflective material appears on both the midfoot’s signature N logo and the top of the heel. Down below, a stark white ABZORB midsole and a black outsole finalize the look. Retailing for $190 USD, they also offer a resoundingly reasonable price point considering the domestic construction and premium components. Enjoy a look directly below, and head over to NB stockists like Packer if you’re looking to add a pair to your summertime sneaker lineup.
