Nike Teams With Titan To Launch The LeBron 16 Low “Agimat”

Love and appreciation for the game of basketball is fierce in the Philippines, and nobody understands that more than Titan, a Filipino-based retailer and beacon of basketball culture all through the island nation. Now, Titan has teamed up with Nike Basketball for a bold take on LeBron James‘s Nike LeBron 16 Low entitled the “Agimat.” The team at Titan are no strangers to collaboration either, having worked with Nike Basketball on a LeBron 14 and Lebron Soldier 12 in years past, but this new low-cut LeBron 16 takes things to a different level, with meaningful detailing and storytelling that’s truly second to none.

Inspired by LeBron’s journey from “warrior” to “king,” and packed full of Filipino folklore/special details, there’s a rich tale to be told on these Nike shoes. Special iconography is provided by volcano, flame, lightning, shield, four-star, and crest graphics, all of which nod to both island tribal history and LeBron’s powers/accomplishments over his storied career. There’s also a more direct and obvious connection that’s provided by Manilla and Akron, Ohio-inspired badges, saluting both the King’s hometown and his “basketball home away from home” in the Philippines. Apart from all the in-the-know style details, the shoes cut a truly striking figure, thanks to their rich blue upper that’s accented with vibrant gold hits on the midfoot Swoosh, speckled midsole, and textured triangular heel piece. A sock collar and full-foot Zoom Air cushioning system then ensure that they play just as good as they look — a must for any basketball shoe truly worth its salt. The Nike LeBron 16 Low “Agimat” will release at Titan retail locations and globally via Nike.com on August 31st, 2019, so get a detailed look right here while you wait.
