Sneakersnstuff Will Exclusively Release The Nike Air Max Tailwind IV “20th Anniversary”

2019 marks two decades of Nike’s Air Max Tailwind IV and 20 years since world-renowned retailer Sneakersnstuff first opened their doors in Stockholm, Sweden back in 1999, so retailer and brand have teamed up to release an exclusive Tailwind IV in celebration of their shared anniversary. Inspired by an unreleased prototype colorway of the original Nike Tailwind ’79 OG, the collaboration nods to both the Tailwind line’s genesis in ’79 and the uncertainty of the impending new millenium that was present worldwide in ’99. The upper kicks things off with a white mesh base that’s overlaid with chilly blue suedes and synthetics, while a polarizing pop of style is present thanks to bright yellow hues on the throat/collar and a bronzed leather sockliner. This jarring-yet-artful mash of shades is all brought together by a black midsole with grey Air Max cushioning units. The look is then capped off by a special hand-scrawled inscription on the left tongue that directly salutes 20 years of sneaker and sneaker store. These special Nike shoes will release exclusively at SNS on September 18th for $160 USD, with a run that’s limited to a mere 1,999 pairs.
