Converse Pays Homage to Tyler, The Creator’s “Cherry Bomb” With A Flame-Engulfed Chuck 70

Converse Pays Homage to Tyler, The Creator’s “Cherry Bomb” With A Flame-Engulfed Chuck 70

Since joining up with Converse after leaving his past relationship with Vans, music stalwart Tyler, The Creator has been able to stretch his legs much more liberally, drawing floral motifs atop the One Star and even dressing down the iconic Chuck 70 with his signature and playful styling. Brightened up with pastel tones characteristic of the artist himself, the latter pair arrives in deeper connection to his history as it pays homage to the iconic album cover of “Cherry Bomb.” Simple, as is best, the uppers bright blue tones accent with toony flames as if ripped right from the Golf Wang print. Elsewhere, the design is largely kept close to original templates with extra branding only showing up by way of the insole prints and flower-covered outsole tread. Grab a detailed look at the pair right here and expect a release to hit select retailers as well as Converse.com on October 12th for $100.
