The Nike Zoom Freak 1 “Graffiti” Releases On October 1st

Reigning NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s Nike Zoom Freak 1 is a shoe that’s built around rich storytelling, but apart from its meaningful inspirations it’s certainly capable of having some fun as well, and that inherent lightheartedness is on full display with this new kids-sized “Graffiti” colorway. A concrete grey mesh base serves as a “wall” of sorts, while bold graffiti fat cat-style print runs the length of the throat and also makes an appearance on the signature backwards Swoosh. More detailing is provided by a speckled grey print on the remainder of the midsole and a graffiti-style embroidered gold “Freak” hit on the heel tab. There’s technical aspects to be had here as well, with the lacing support system visible under the upper’s outer layer of mesh and Zoom Air loaded into the midsole. They’re set to release on October 1st for an even $100 USD, so see a retailer list below, and be sure to keep an eye on the Freak himself too — rumor has it that he may be receiving a $247 million supermax extension from the Bucks.
