The Nike Air Force 1 Low Shadow Appears In Classic All White

The Nike Air Force 1 Low Shadow Appears In Classic All White

They say you can’t beat a classic, and when it comes to Nike, there’s arguably nothing more quintessential than a pair of white-on-white Air Force 1 Lows. The pristine leather sneakers have captured the hearts and minds of rappers, rockers, street style aficionados, skaters, and more since their original arrival in the ’80s, and now they’ve been re-worked once again thanks to the new Air Force 1 Low Shadow. Although the airy tones and elegant materials that first made the Force famous are all present and accounted for, there are plenty of deconstructed details to be had here as well. The Shadow practices both subtraction and addition, adding layered details but removing stitching for a look that — although more complex than the original — provides a stripped-back style. Two mudguards, two sets of eyestays, and a loose-hanging collar piece all contribute to the artistic endeavors, as does the delicately-stitched Swoosh and extra branded rubber tab that wraps from the lateral side of the midsole to the heel. Although they do call to mind images of John Elliott‘s Air Force 1 collaboration from 2018, they present a look that’s all their own, and you’ll be able to have it for yourself when they release on Nike.com for $110 USD come October 3rd.
