Supreme Revives The Nike Air Max 95 Lux For Upcoming Collaboration

Continuing its penchant for obscure selections from the Nike archives, Supreme selects the Air Max 95 Lux from 2001 as the centerpiece for their upcoming FW19 season collaboration with the Swoosh. This modified version of the ’95 runner features a refined aesthetic that utilizes high-end Italian leather uppers with a similar stitch pattern as the original. What you don’t see are the protruding “ribs” that come down from the eyelets, giving the sneakers a much more handcrafted look.

As expected, Supreme has given the original Lux model a slight twist by adding their logo on the uppermost layer above the perforations. Based on what’s been revealed by Drake on his Instagram stories, it appears that the logo application is all that we should expect, although its worth pointing out that the previously rumored Swarovski participation doesn’t seem to be the case here. In terms of pricing, we expect a higher-than-normal MSRP (arounf $500) due to the nature of its quality. It’s also not clear if there will be special Made In Italy hangtags that were used in the original 2001 pair. Check out the photo ahead and stay tuned for updates.
