CDG Adds Its All-Over Print To The Vans Lampin

CDG Adds Its All-Over Print To The Vans Lampin

With the inception of the more streetwear-focused CDG diffusion, the revered COMME des GARÇONS institution added but one more avenue of self-expression. A debut illustrious in its cast of all stars, the quick features by Brain Dead, Anti Social Social Club, and Stussy have lent it quite the helping hand, though none quite as often as Anaheim’s very own Vans. Already well-versed in the design language of the Japanese label, the footwear brand’s standout roster of silhouettes have lined up to take on the avant-garde and the next up is the retro Lampin whose paneling half bears the signature all-over graphic. “CDG” covers the inner base in black and white perpetuity, stopping at what would be no points if it weren’t for the overlaid canvas that wraps from the profile all the way over to the heel counter. Left dark, with contrast stitching more true to heritage, the silhouette is loud without growing tiresome. Likely more high quality — and with its fair bump in retail price — the collaboration is set to release on December 11th likely on cdgcdgcdg.com.
