The Nike Zoom Vista Grind Gets A Head Start On New Year’s Resolutions With Its “Lite” Tooling

If the defining trend of 2019 was oversized, bulky “dad” silhouettes, then what will that make 2020? Well, with their low profile retro runners seeing the light of day after vaulted captivity and more and more newfound silhouettes following suit, it seems Nike is setting the curve even well before we hit New Year’s Day, doing so even further with a look at not one but two takes of the Zoom Vista Lite — the slender retooling that is ostensibly the Zoom Vista Grind though just a few pounds lighter. After holding to its 2020 goals, the model arrives much sleeker overall, retaining the general likeness without all the bulk that made its predecessor so divisive in the first place. Sole units, though of the general shape, forgo the colored openings and the enhanced height to more so visually accommodate the synthetically constructed upper, of which the duo bear a light tan and a much more neutral white. The lighter paints a dashing infrared just behind its thin veil of material, using the same tone to then accent the miniature swoosh at the forefoot and the contrast stitching the zig zags up the lace unit; the alternate does much of the same, execution-wise, but it dresses a light green along both the outlined check and its smaller accompaniment exclusively. Grab a detailed look at both options right here, and if you prefer this version, it’ll likely be hitting Nike.com sometime in January 2020.
