Nike’s Revival Of The Classic Grey Air Max 90 Includes This Royal Blue Option

Since its debut almost 30 years ago, the Air Max 90 has been outfitted in countless inline and collaborative outfits that have garnered it widespread acceptance as one of the best Nike sneakers, but its classic grey/white/black base always seems to get special attention from Beaverton and fans alike. With its looming milestone anniversary, the ’90 silhouette is not only returning to original form in shape and colorway, but is also scheduled to retro in compelling “Volt,” “Hyper Grape,” “Turquoise,” and now “Royal Blue” iterations. The Tinker Hatfield-designed model features white mesh at the toe box and heel panels surrounded by grey suede overlays. Rounding out the OG build, black leather mudguards sit above the mostly white midsole. Rich blue interrupts the muted palette at the forefoot tread, bottom eyestays, and Air unit container, as well as branding at the tongue, midfoot, and heel. Although not OG at all, this “Royal Blue” color scheme is sure to be a fan-favorite given how its so closely associated to other Swoosh classics like the Air Jordan 1 and the Air Foamposite One.
