The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage Opts For A Classic White And Black

The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage Opts For A Classic White And Black

After having one of its most visible years in recent memory, the Nike Blazer Mid reappears in a classic white and black look for 2020. Aside from a few details – most notably the upturned Swoosh on the medial side – this upcoming release resembles much of Slam Jam’s take on the ’77 model from early last year. Typical of footwear in the ’70s, uppers are built with leather and sit atop a vulcanized rubber sole both done in OG white. Light-grey suede adds durability at the toe-box and lateral side forefoot; when combined with the exposed foam found on the cream-colored tongue, it creates a charming, vintage aesthetic. Lastly, black profile Swooshes and “NIKE” text at the heel complete the retro, but on-trend look.

If you’ve been itching to add a Nike Blazer into your rotation, this simple white and black pair might be the perfect one. While no official release date is yet known, you can expect these to drop at Nike.com in the coming weeks for the usual $100 USD.
