The Nike Air Max 90 Celebrates The White Wardrobe Of Parisian Bakers

For its 30th Anniversary celebration, the Air Max 90 was gifted an all expenses paid trip around the world, landing in diverse locales from Tokyo’s cement-tinged construction sites to the signature fire departments of New York City. For its trip to Paris, though, the colorway examined the culinary scene, specifically the bakers most iconic for their often under-appreciated diligence. Garbed in white, the pair lies minimal — some would argue boring — but its visual moderation aims to serve the same narrative, an imitative disposition of the profession’s typical uniform. Sturdy mesh constructions and its accenting nylon counterpart dress to the same colorless shade, but at the tongue patch and the heel tab, vibrant and overt connections pay homage to the French city, using ornate caligraphy to spell out “AIR” while sprawling with the country’s tri-color flag as a backdrop to bread-remiscent embroidery. Moreover, insoles add in playful messaging with a stamp denoting a 0.90 Euro price tag and its structural ingredients. Grab a detailed look at these right here, and as they were pushed back from their original date, find them at Nike.com on February 10th.
