Metallic Gold Heel Accents Arrive On The Nike Air Max 720-818

Nike’s futuristic MX-720-818 has recently surfaced in yet another tonal outfit, but this time adds a subtle gold accent into the mix.

Not too dissimilar from OBJ’s laceless Air Max 720 Slip, the forthcoming MX-720-818 covers much of its space suit-inspired upper in dark tones. Contrast to the quilted construction comes primarily via the orange and crimson hits at the Swoosh and Air Max branding on the toe box, heel and tongue tabs, though mesh tongues also offer variety. As this pair is rumored to join the Air Max 98 and Air Max 270 React in a “Magma Pack,” a metallic heel overlay further detours this MX-720-818 from its tonal tendencies and reveals an assortment of hues depending on the angle from which it’s viewed. Down below, Air Max 720 cushioning and its accompanying midsole molding favor a mostly black arrangement, while outsoles go bold with color in “Magma Orange” and “University Red.”

Grab a closer look at this lifestyle model here below while you wait for pairs to arrive on Nike.com in the coming weeks.
