Reebok Further Proves That It’s Not A Man’s World With Their International Women’s Day Collection

Reebok Further Proves That It’s Not A Man’s World With Their International Women’s Day Collection

As International Women’s Day nears, Reebok is already prepared with the return of their celebratory SS20 campaign, accompanying potent messaging with a string of understated silhouettes that are intended to follow those empowered in their everyday. Themed as “It’s A Man’s World” complete with a strikethrough, the collection lays everything in bold letters — that very dubbing interwoven into the designs of a five-part pack inclusive of the DMX 2200 Zip, Aztrek Double, Court Double Mix, Club C, and Classic Leather.

Following in the footsteps of a few collaborations, the inline range of releases are certainly much more evergreen, opting for versatile instead of the loud and transformative. Of the forthcoming, the latter two of the aforementioned series connect via recognizable, retro style, using their iconic runner and low profile shapes to their advantage. Both dressed in full block, the core ideas are somewhat pushed to the wayside, though they overtly print in bold text across the tongue and side panels with identical match to their dark backdrop — an effect that renders them relatively invisible if not under close inspection. Moreover, the adjacent three prefer a much lighter coat of white to push their storytelling, doing just that with louder type emblazoned onto the DMX 2200 Zip’s accentuated pull, the Aztrek’s center strip, and the Court Double’s tongue webbing. Streaked with light reds across, the light leather fixtures and cream accents round off the assortment alongside simple apparel.
