Official Images Of Another Nike Air Max 2090 In Black/White

Ahead of the Nike Air Max 2090’s launch on March 26th, the “current shoe of the future” has emerged in four colorways inspired by electric cars. While the newest member of the Air Max family’s debut option makes a statement with “Pure Platinum” and “Bright Crimson” accents, its three follow-up outfits offer monochromatic looks for those who enjoy the understated. Among them, this “Black/White” arrangement darkens key details on a similar, previously seen Air Max 2090.

Despite being clad in black, the Air Max 90‘s DNA is instantly recognizable on this new silhouette. Mudguards, though modernized, keep their functional and aesthetic purposes intact, while also enabling updated branding and stitching on the profiles. Elsewhere, heel and midsole cassettes revel in their reimagined heritage: The former hides a new “air” logo and sits below a newly-introduced rope heel loop, while the latter relocates their ridges to the rear and houses a visible Air unit borrowed from the Air Max 200. These features are given a sold black finish, unlike the aforementioned version of the futuristic sneaker. Logos on the tongue cut-out, throat taping and “2090”-branded sock liners further distinguish this Air Max 2090 as the most covert option among the model’s launch colorways.

Grab a closer look at The Swoosh’s upcoming silhouette here below and anticipate pairs hitting Nike.com ahead of Spring 2020.
