Brain Dead Tweaks The Reebok Classic Leather With Fuzzy Suedes And Laces

From Vans to Converse, Kyle Ng’s Brain Dead has amassed quite the noteworthy Rolodex of contacts. And after collaborating with The North Face and Timex earlier this year, the streetwear label is finally stepping foot back in sneaker culture with Reebok as their guide. Filtering the Classic Leather through their own DNA, the imprint has outfitted the silhouette with a flurry of fuzzy exteriors. The uppers — from what seems to be the top line to the heel wrap and toe box — are given a pronounced suede fabrication that’s treated aggressively as it leans towards hairy instead of smooth. Adjacent, the secondary mesh approaches versatility with a black shade while the overlaid branded strips contrast by way of light tan accents. Rounded off by chenille-esque laces, the pair adds vibrant yellow touch to a backdrop of earth tones and tweaked branding — the latter characteristically playful as they switch up the standard for alien-like “Brain Dead” text and the signature logo head. Grab a close-up look here and sit tight for word on official release details.

In other news, an Instapump Fury Tokyo Pack should be arriving soon.
