Nike Air Force 1 Type Gets A Triple-Grey Treatment

Nike Air Force 1 Type Gets A Triple-Grey Treatment

Recent iterations of the Nike Air Force 1 have added far-from-original copper profile Swooshes and heel pull tabs, among other details, but have unquestionably kept Bruce Kilgore’s 1982 design intact. Under Nike’s N354 line, the Air Force 1 Type ups the experimental ante and teeters between the familiar and unknown.

While lacking the vibrancy of the recent Air Force 1 Shadow Hydrogen Blue, this pair equally delivers a new take on the Air Force 1 Low. “Grey Fog” and “Cool Grey” divvy up the non-standard upper and midsole and their accompanying accents, creating a “triple-grey” like arrangement. Transparent materials on the medial side and handwritten logos across the lateral midfoot and heel proffer a handcrafted aesthetic à la Tom Sachs. Elsewhere, closure systems around the heel nod to the tallest Air Force 1 and sit opposite to rubber overlays at the toe.

No release details are yet known, but this Air Force 1 Type is likely to arrive quietly to Nike.com in the coming weeks. Until then, enjoy official images of the pair here below.
