Kiko Kostadinov Continues To Fuse ASICS Classics With The Women’s GEL-Aurania

Operated by the Fanning twins, Kiko Kostadinov’s womenswear component has come into its own with equally forward thinking designs, each piece a marvel in both cut, form, and construction. From shell-shaped accessories to elegant pieces made abstract, the collections have continued to expand from season to season and an on-going ASICS collaboration has joined alongside. Far distinct from the Bulgarian designer’s own hybrids, the two sisters’ creations — especially their latest — opt for a much lower profile design still replete with aggressive infrastructure. The forthcoming GEL-Aurania, whose release is timed perfectly to accompany the Spring/Summer ’20 range, combines the upper of the Skysensor Slash JJ with the tooling of the GEL-Quantum Infinity Jin for a silhouette that is overtly utilitarian as it displays a near full GEL heel and a lacing system that can be fastened with one hand. Two colorways — one a mix of orange to red shades and the other a more neutral black with green and burgundy accents — are set to arrive at select retailers on April 24th for a retail of $180 USD.

In other news, check out the new GEL-Venture Birch colorway.
