Taka Hayashi And Vault By Vans Deliver Military-Themed Capsule With QR Codes

Taka Hayashi is near synonymous with the Vans Vault brand, the artist obviously at home within the creative freedom the Anaheim imprint affords him. From tropical prints to a bevy of militaristic designs, the long-lasting relationship shows no signs of slowing down — especially as the two names prepare to release yet another expansive capsule inclusive of six pairs. From Slip-Ons to other loosely recognizable classics, the pack bridges two ideas, using subtly abstract embellishments and patterns to effectively combine digital themes with that of more welcome versatility.

The Style 47 LX, which is essentially the aforementioned silhouette with a different, more involved name, leads with both a dark grey and white colorway whose heels are embellished by accent tones of yellow and orange, respectively. These leather strips essentially mask the rear in what looks to be a minimal sunshine formation, outfitting the neutral canvas with neon just above a midsole whose sides bear the checkerboard print at about 50% opacity. Then, the returning Sk8-Low Reissue adopts a more accessible and familiar aesthetic as its suede constructions arrive in either a coat of black or navy. The profile canvas, however, tweaks the more iconic heritage graphic for one reminiscent of QR codes. Lastly, the Style 98 LX finishes with a more understated approach; the chukka silhouette simply adopts two fully achromatic schemes with luxury the ostensible focus.

Grab a detailed look at the full range below and expect to find pairs available soon at select Vault dealers.
