Converse Utilizes Recycled “Renew” Cotton On The Chuck 70 “Tri-Panel” Pack

As some patiently wait for the NBA to return in hopes of seeing the new Converse G4 in action, others are indulging in all of the lifestyle options the Boston-based brand has recently launched. Soon joining a duo of the Pro Leather Ox is a “Tri-Panel” Pack consisting of the Chuck 70 in two heights.

Unlike previous iterations of The One Star Brand’s iconic model, the newly-surfaced duo is constructed out of undyed, repurposed waste cotton as part of Converse’s RENEW initiative. The upcycling process, which utilizes between 30% and 40% waste canvas, delivers a unique tri-color arrangement to both pairs’ uppers, as well as a unique textured “Egret” midsole underfoot. Besides proffering summer-ready “Prairie Sand/Noble Grey” and “Mellow Rose/Plein Air” color schemes between respective high and low-tops, the RENEW approach to this duo is part of the brand’s larger sustainability initiative, which is bound to land across Converse‘s other footwear and apparel products in the near future.

Take a closer look at both the Chuck 70 Hi and Low here below. Pairs will arrive to select stockists on May 15th for $100 USD each.
