New Balance Tokyo Studio Delivers The R_C1300 In “Washed” Grey And Blue

New Balance Tokyo Studio Delivers The R_C1300 In “Washed” Grey And Blue

New Balance‘s Tokyo Design Studio is following up the launch of its widely-praised R_C1300 with a much more subdued, yet equally impressive “washed” grey and blue pair.

Proudly rooted in the 1300 silhouette, which celebrates its 35th Anniversary this year, the new model is constructed from surplus materials of premium pig suede, leather and mesh. Unlike inaugural pairs, the forthcoming R_C1300 forgoes bold, mismatching colors in favor of a greyscale-variant reminiscent of the “dad shoes” synonymous with the Boston-based brand. Labels on the tongue nod to the silhouette’s novelty, but the sole units are the pair’s most obvious update from their ’80s muse. ENCAP® and ABZORB® cushioning technology combine in the midsole and are given aggressive traction via the Vibram® rubber outsole.

The latest R_C1300 arrives to NewBalance.com on May 23rd with a price tag of $150 USD. Until then, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below.
