The Nike Air Flight ’89 Gets A Seattle Supersonics Mix

The Nike Air Flight ’89 Gets A Seattle Supersonics Mix

The Nike Air Flight 89 continues its 31st Anniversary with another colorful ensemble. Unlike previous pairs inspired by the city of Chicago or outer space, the silhouette’s latest outfit boasts a yellow and green color scheme ostensibly based on the Seattle Supersonics’ team colors.

Constructed from a mix of smooth and tumbled leather, the Air Flight 89 indulges in a predominantly “White” arrangement. Lining across overlays near the forefoot, however, interrupt the tonal scheme with its yellow makeup. The rich hue also takes over profile Swooshes and “Flight” text on the tongue. Elsewhere, rich green enters the mix on the tongue and TPU eyestays. All three aforementioned hues coexist on the Air Jordan 4-like tooling underfoot, and accompanied by “Black” midsole accents, which also appears on “NIKE AIR” branding at the heel.

Full release details are still unknown, but this Seattle Supersonics-friendly Air Flight ’89 is likely to quietly arrive to Nike.com in the coming months for $120 USD. While you wait, enjoy a detailed look at the pair here below.
