size? Helps Celebrate 50 Years Of The adidas Superstar

European retailer size? and adidas aren’t strangers. Over the past two decades, both have designed adidas Originals collections inspired by cities, Oswego Lake in Oregon, and marathons, among other muses. Their latest collaboration pays tribute to a “City Series” collection from 2005, and celebrates both size?’s 20th Anniversary and 50 years of the adidas Superstar.

While its details are still largely unknown, this joint-effort Superstar salutes the model’s Superstar35 campaign. adidas tapped notable players in the sneaker space, like Footpatrol and Undefeated, as well as influential brands the likes of The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Disney, to help celebrate the shell-toe’s (at the time) 35 years on the market as part of a five-series rollout: Consortium, Anniversary, Music, Expression, and Cities. Fifteen years later, size? and adidas are combining The City Series’ “Paris,” “Buenos Aires,” and “London” pairs into one, as evidenced by this release’s disparate profile panels. Signature 3-Stripes branding also borrows from “Boston,” “Tokyo,” and other limited pairs from 2005’s 35-piece collection, while the iconic rubber toe and its sole unit are left in classic white.

The next Superstar by size? will exclusively arrive to size? Launches on June 19th for the equivalent of $94 USD.

For more from The Three Stripes, Beyoncé’s IVY PARK sub-label is rumored to drop its second capsule in the Fall.
