The ASICS GEL-Lyte III OG “Techno Cyan” Has Arrived

The ASICS GEL-Lyte III has recently ramped up its 30th Anniversary celebration with the confirmation of the ASICS Sean Wotherspoon collaboration. Yet, as evidenced by a new “Techno Cyan” colorway, the decades-old silhouette isn’t solely relying on special, joint-efforts throughout 2020.

Clad in of-the-90s flair, uppers on this GEL-Lyte III maintain their beloved mixed-materials construction and split tongue. The latter is overtaken by the aforementioned vibrant hue, which also suede overlays throughout the midfoot, accents at the heel, and outsole tread. Rich violet joins the mix across the midfoot and at the lateral forefoot, creating an arrangement reminiscent of footwear synonymous with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Elsewhere, a “yin-and-yang” combination complements the retro palette throughout the remainder of the ASICS model, but both are interrupted by faint purple details underneath the profile vector logos and at the heel.
