SNS Kicks Off “Hometown Love” Series With The adidas Stockholm GT

SNS Kicks Off “Hometown Love” Series With The adidas Stockholm GT

While much of its focus this year has been on the adidas Superstar‘s 50th Anniversary, The Three Stripes Brand has made time to celebrate some of its less-heralded, but similarly iconic silhouettes. The adidas Stockholm from 1966 is the latest model to receive some attention, but adidas isn’t going at it alone – the brand has tapped European institution Sneakersnstuff (SNS) to reimagine the trainer as part of a “Hometown Love” Series. The first stop on the trip?: Stockholm, Sweden.

The SNS GT “Stockholm” pays respect to not only the retailer’s home base, but also a modified version of the Stockholm silhouette released in 1980. Clad in “Footwear White”, premium leather uppers feature bold “Blue” contrast at the profile 3-Stripes. Sockliners, which are printed with a map of Stockholm, also indulge in the eye-catching hue. Shimmering “Metallic Gold” accents across the midfoot and tongue add another luxe touch to the inaugural release in the “Hometown Love” Series. Underfoot, the SNS GT “Stockholm” sports a “Chalk White” adidas Handball Spezial outsole, originally produced in and for Austria.

Enjoy a closer look at the SNS GT “Stockholm” ahead, and find pairs exclusively launching on the SNS app come June 27th.

For more from the German sportswear giant, the Yeezy QNTM Barium launches on June 25th.
