Nyjah Huston’s Next Nike SB Signature Shoe is Inspired By The Zoom Spiridon

Quite possibly due to the fact that they’ve been hard at work with their collaborations involving their Ben & Jerry’s and Grateful Dead Dunks, in addition to producing more GR colorways of silhouettes like the GTS, the Nike SB team hasn’t paid much attention to their signature lineup in recent memory. However, now that we’ve officially entered into the season of Summer, and the skate parks are starting to slowly open up, they figure why not dive back into their partnership with professional skateboarder and Nike athlete Nyjah Huston to further expand upon his signature family.

Unveiled by way of official imagery, the Nike SB Nyjah Free 2.0, Huston’s second chapter of footwear with the Swoosh, is set to release soon. Construction-wise, they offer somewhat of similar low-profile to the first model, but instead of abstractly-shaped midfoot holes and perforated toe boxes, its opts for striped lace loops and uppers which split between heightened mesh materials and synthetic mudguards that sit just above the midsole for a design language similar to that of the Air Zoom Spiridon. In fact, one of this model’s debut colorways actually borrows the similar Olympic-styled arrangement of its muse involving that of navy mudguards and golden Swoosh logos. It’s release sibling instead opts for a more minimal look boasting a mostly-white body paired with black Swooshes.
